Cameo Web-Smart Giga Ethernet Switch series is the latest generation of Web-Smart switch, these switches are purposely designed and optimized for network performance, operational cost, ease of management and reliability for small and medium business (SMB) market. As the new generation of Web-Smart Giga Ethernet Switch series, they provide 8 to 52 port configurations with high performance, various management tools, and rich and powerful L2 features including Power over Ethernet (PoE), and this series is also an ideal access-edge solution.

Easy Management

This series provides various user-friendly standard and enterprise level management features, such as intuitive web-based Graphical User Interface (GUI), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP, RFC standard) and RMON support enables the switch to be polled for valuable status information and send traps on abnormal events, it means can help customer faster setup.

Versatile L2 features

For most L2 network application, network switches should support a complete lineup of L2 features, such as Flow Control, Port Mirroring, Link Aggregation, Virtual Cable Test, Spanning tree, Loop Back Detection, VLAN and IGMP Snooping for network management. Besides, this series implements IGMP snooping feature, which can ensure the switch intelligently forwards the multicast packets only to the appropriate users that help user face growing video application such as IPTV, IP Camera.

Security

In order to enhance security, this series also integrates security functions, e.g. Storm Control, ARP Spoofing Prevention, and ACL to permit or deny traffic based on MAC address or IP address. Besides, this Series also supports IEEE 802.1X access control, Guest VLAN and RADIUS authentication for strict access control.

Quality of Service (QoS)

This series switch can help Nework Administrator apply QoS policies to manage voice, data and video traffic on one network. The network administrator can designate the packet priority by Port Priority, 802.1P Priority and DSCP Priority, to ensure that voice and video data are clear.

Power over Ethernet (PoE)

The Web-Smart Giga Ethernet Switch series also supports PoE solution. Integrated data switching and Power over Ethernet into one device, it can reduces cable usage, and eliminates the electrical outlets or extension cords requirement and the electrician need.

Support PoE Standard

All ports of this series support IEEE 802.3af/at standard (PoE/PoE+) which can automatically detect and supply power to any standard compliant devices with up to 30W per port. And, the electrical power is transmitted in a single cable (Cat-5 grade up), it allows customers to set up network where customers want to set up devices such as Access Point (AP), IP-based surveillance cameras (IP Camera) and IP-based Phone (IP Phone). Besides, the web-based GUI can help user easy to do power management.

Conserve Power

This series supports IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) which can provides energy savings, improve energy utilization rate and also preserve the environment without extra effort to make the world better. This series also implements Power Saving feature, it makes Switch uses power more effectively.

IPv6 Support

The series is fully compliant with future IPv6 networks. It supports remote IPv6 manageability from HTTP, or SNMP. To create secure IPv6 networks, this series uses IPv6 ACL, DHCPv6 Snooping, and Neighbor Discovery (ND) snooping functions to protect the network from illegal IPv6 clients.
